We share in detail how is the pricing of the product and how is composed so you can know what exactly you are paying for and where is the money being located and used.
We are strongly compromised with transparency. We thrived for an economic distribution more balanced and fair, where development can be reach trough sustainable projects applied directly in the coffee producing communities, and profit can be reasonable and not disproportioned. Our pricing takes into account the necessary costs to make possible that coffee can be enjoyed in Germany, plus the profit of each link in the value chain. We separated it into 4 parts, each of them important and necessary to make it work.
Projects Fund
The projects fund its divided into three and is focused in carrying out devolvement projects; the environmental is used for the project CAFETO, the Social finance the projects on education, like ALFA, and the economic is focused in maintaining and improving coffee quality trough diverse projects that cover the necessities of the producers.
Roasting
Here you will find the coffee tax paid in Germany, the cost of roasting 1 kg of coffee, the package and label, all that is need it to have the coffee ready to consume.
Importing
Here you find the costs incurred through the importation process, from the ocean freight and customs paid in Hamburg’s port, till the delivery of the coffee to the warehouse on Berlin, as well as the profit for the company.
Factor Luna
Here you find the costs that take place in the producing country, it shows everything that was paid to put the coffee in the ship, ready to sail. It can be interpreted as FOB prices for each kilogram of green coffee beans.
